About the Togo Couch Collection
The Togo Couch collection was designed by French designer Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset in 1973 and proves how successful the combination of design and industry can be. Founded in 1860 by Antoine Roset, Ligne Roset has its roots in French craftsmanship. The founder's grandson, Jean Roset, gradually shifted the company's focus from furniture manufacturing to design between the two world wars. Michel Ducaroy was head of design at Ligne Roset and at the same time the driving force behind innovation. In this position, he became the company's key designer, and the Togo lounge suite became one of the company's most iconic pieces. The Togo Couch Collection is a range of foam seats with quilted covers, typically polyester but other covers such as leather are also used. The ergonomic design is modular, so it can be adapted to any living room or cozy corner. The seating comfort makes the Togo Couch one of the most comfortable couches ever. This comfy iconic piece of design sits square to the ground for comfort and stability. Its shape is playful and inviting, especially when used as a corner sofa. The Togo Couch is a timeless classic that adapts to almost any living room big enough for it. It also goes particularly well with simple, modern furniture.
