This edition pairs an amber upper shade of mouth-blown, four-layered glass with two lower shades in three-layered white opal glass, all glossy outside and sandblasted matt white inside.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lower shades give soft, glare-free light downwards, while the amber top shade adds a warm glow towards the ceiling. The suspension in lacquered aged brass follows the designs first used in 1926, and decorative thumbscrews set the position of the bulb inside the shades. A dark brown textile cord completes the period detail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt 28.5 cm across, the PH 3\/3 is one of Henningsen's \"whole\" sizes, which are particularly glare-free and suited to hanging high: over a dining table, in a living room or a hallway.
