This changes the character of the lamp slightly compared to the original metal version. The layered shade construction still creates depth, but the opal finish gives the piece a calmer, more atmospheric glow once lit. The carefully placed screens direct light downward while the opal finish creates a soft glow around the lamp itself, balancing functional light with ambient warmth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe ø320 Opal also uses a new mechanical assembly for the suspension, socket housing, and shade set, which sets it apart from the PH 5 Metal version.
