About the Togo collection
The Togo collection was created in 1973 by designer Michel Ducaroy from France for Ligne Roset and proves how successful the combination of design and industrial design can be. Ligne Roset was founded in 1860 by Antoine Roset and has its roots in the French tradition of craftsmanship. The founder's grandson, Jean Roset, gradually shifted the company's focus from furniture production to design between the two world wars. Michel Ducaroy was head of the design department at Ligne Roset and also the driving force behind new innovations. In this position, he became Ligne Roset's most important designer, and the Togo seating group became one of the company's most famous pieces. The Togo sofa collection is a series of foam seats with quilted covers, usually made of polyester, but other covers such as leather are also used. The ergonomically shaped design is modular so that it can be adapted to any living room or cozy corner. The seating comfort makes the Togo sofa one of the most comfortable sofas around. This comfortable, iconic designer piece sits directly on the floor, providing comfort and stability. Its shape is playful and inviting, especially when used as a corner sofa. The Togo three-seater is a timeless classic that can be adapted to almost any living room that is large enough for it. It also goes particularly well with sleek, modern furniture.
