Industrial design, as a style, takes its cues from workshops, factories and engineering: exposed construction, raw or brushed metal, perforated sheet, laser-cut and riveted joints, and forms that follow the manufacturing process. It grew out of early twentieth-century functionalism and the Bauhaus, and is as much about honest making as about looks.

This collection gathers furniture and objects in that spirit. NM3 from Milan works with stainless steel, raw finishes and dry assembly; Frama's Rivet shelf is joined by hand from laser-cut aluminium sheets; Obscure Objects, Paul Coenen and Tim Teven Studio explore material and technique, with HAY and Pedestal adding everyday pieces.
