Alu Alu Clock

Originally created in 1979 by designer Jochen Gros, this aluminum wall clock reflects a functional design approach rooted in industrial materials. In 2012, Alexander Seifried reinterpreted the piece with updated colors, preserving its distinctive embossed aluminum dial inspired by license plates. The use of standard industrial typography recalls technical inspection stickers, connecting the design to automotive culture. Contrasting hands improve readability, while the embossed surface brings subtle depth to the dial.
