The locking kit keeps the tabletop in place without screwing it to the frame. Four plastic balls are screwed to the underside of the top and sit in the open ends of the legs or extension rods. The top can no longer slide, but you can still lift it off at any time, for example when you move.
A set contains four balls with screws.
