The Aria Tables create the illusion of a floating tabletop, with tapered legs that rise slightly above the rim, holding the circular surface in a firm yet elegant grip. Pair it with a second, lower table that partially nests beneath, adding versatility and depth. Designed by Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir, Aria combines lightness and sophistication.
“I named it Aria after the opera and air itself,” says Guðmundsdóttir. “It floats like music—or a Frisbee.” First exhibited at The Cabinetmaker’s Autumn Exhibition in 2015, Aria has since evolved into a larger, more versatile design. Crafted from solid oak with lacquered iron plates for stability, it comes in two heights and various finishes. Choose clear oak or opt for off-white or black, treated with a Japanese dye that enhances the natural grain. “A true masterwork,” says Anders Färdig, founder of Design House Stockholm, “with layer-polished dye and exceptional craftsmanship.”
