Saint Laurent Unveils Parisian Bookstore

by @industrialkonzept Team

In a move that continues to weave the brand's Parisian essence into its initiatives, Saint Laurent, under the guidance of creative director Anthony Vaccarello, has launched an enchanting new venture. Following the opening of its largest Paris flagship in December, the fashion house introduces Saint Laurent Babylone. Situated on Rue de Grenelle, this new cultural sanctuary goes beyond the typical bookstore, serving as a haven for a blend of art, music, fashion, and culture, all through Vaccarello's visionary perspective.

The design of Saint Laurent Babylone mirrors the aesthetic of the brand's recent Paris flagship, blending sophisticated marble tables with natural, rugged shelves and walls. It is a space where rare books are displayed on a historic Pierre Jeanneret desk, demanding the use of gloves to peruse through them.

However, Saint Laurent Babylone offers more than just books. The boutique is a treasure trove of selected records and magazines, handpicked by Vaccarello. According to WWD, the collection includes a selection of Saint Laurent Rive Droite Edition titles, featuring both classic and new releases, alongside photography works by Rose Finn-Kelcey and Juergen Teller. This cultural pinnacle is also set to host a variety of events, including DJ sets, readings, and listening sessions, with Teller expected to lead a book signing event in the store later this month.
