    The Large Vase of Fundamental Berlin's Rainbow series is carved from a single heavy block of Krone Neun crystal glass, cut and polished by hand in a family-run workshop in Zhejiang. The glass has a refractive index of 1.57 and a light transmission of 90 per cent.

    A dichroic film on the facets amplifies the colours the crystal draws from daylight, and they shift as the light or the viewer moves. The vase holds cut flowers and weighs 5.2 kg. Clean with a lint-free cloth or mild soapy water, without abrasive cleaners.
