Jens Quistgaard (1919 to 2008), a Danish-American designer regarded as one of the founders of Scandinavian Modern style, spent 30 years as chief designer at Dansk Designs and produced more than 4,000 products. His view that everyday objects should work in harmony shaped everything from spoons and pans to crockery and pepper mills.
Stig Guldberg's monograph draws on sketches not seen before, archive photographs, case studies and ephemera, and closes with an illustrated inventory of Quistgaard's designs. Hardback, 290 by 214 mm, 280 pages.
