Koichi Futatsumata - Coffee Spoon

Part of "The Cutlery Project" by Belgian design label valerie_objects, this distinctive piece by Japanese designer Koichi Futatsumata reimagines the everyday utensil through the lens of sculptural precision and tactile functionality. Inspired by his favorite technical pencil, Futatsumata combines flat surfaces with a subtly octagonal profile — retaining planar ends for utility, while introducing a geometrically faceted body that feels intuitively comfortable in the hand. The result is a piece of cutlery that balances sharpness and softness, precision and ease. More than a tool, it becomes an object of quiet character — practical, personal, and strikingly refined. Each item is sold individually.
