New Order Shelving - Combination 501

HAY developed the New Order System with designer Stefan Diez. It’s a modular table and shelving system designed to adapt to the changing needs of contemporary living and working spaces. The open-grid aluminium framework works with a wide range of components, enabling countless configurations tailored to your space.

New Order can display or conceal items, sit against a wall or act as a room divider, and can be assembled or disassembled with ease — ideal if you move or frequently reconfigure your home. Its high-strength extruded aluminium also supports heavier loads than most minimal shelving systems, making it perfect for large books or vinyl collections.

This listing is for Combination 501 — a classic bookcase assembled from selected components. If you’d like to adapt, extend, or design a similar setup, we can create a bespoke solution. You can also plan your own layout using the HAY New Order Configurator and send us your component list.
