Palace Product Descriptions: The Selected Archive is the official printed record of the online product descriptions of Palace Skateboards. Since 2013 these texts, written by Palace co-founder Lev Tanju, have often had little or nothing to do with the product itself, and their humour, social commentary and plain opinion have earned them a dedicated following.
More than 3,000 descriptions are reproduced as they appear online, in short lines of capitals set as bullet points, and grouped into 22 categories such as Anatomy, Animals, Etiquette, Philanthropy, Romance and Travel. Product shots run through the text, and chapter openers use behind-the-scenes pictures from the Palace archive. The hardback has 320 pages, with an introduction by Sam Buchan-Watts.
