Tigris is a vase designed by Ettore Sottsass in 1983 and named after a river of Mesopotamia, like Euphrates. Its body is assembled from white porcelain forms, with ribbed sections, small side arms and a pale blue ring near the top, on a flat black foot. The vase is 39 cm high.
It is made of white porcelain, hand painted. Because the colouring is done by hand, tone and surface vary slightly from piece to piece, which Memphis counts as part of its artisanal production.
