The Masonry Carafe was made for Cafe Niko and is produced in upcycled glass at Holmegaard Værk in Denmark. Its mould is built from four stoneware bricks arranged to leave a hollow space between them.
The glass is mouth-blown into this one-off mould and takes on the rough texture of the bricks. After release, the glassmakers shape the neck and apply the logo by hand. Texture, form and character therefore differ from carafe to carafe.
