TH300 Turntable

The TH300 is the most compact model in the TH series, integrating key performance elements into a more minimal footprint. It features a flywheel-stabilized motor system, magnetic suspension, and a screw-on clamp—all designed to maintain high fidelity and mechanical isolation.

The 300 mm platter rotates on an inverted pivot system fixed to the base, offering stability and precision in a simplified form. The chassis, crafted entirely from Nero Marquinia marble, provides mass and damping in a single structural element. Tonearm and clamp are included.

Assembled in Italy, the TH300 reflects Thuono’s focus on essential analog design—where refined engineering and material integrity serve the listening experience.

Technical Overview

Isolation & Suspension
The TH300 employs three magnetic suspension units to isolate the chassis from structural and airborne vibrations. Each unit uses opposing magnetic rings and self-lubricating bushings, minimizing mechanical contact and ensuring long-term operational silence. Additional decoupling discs beneath the chassis reduce residual energy transfer.

Platter & Bearing System
The 300 mm aluminium platter is paired with a damping and antistatic top layer to reduce resonance and surface noise. It rotates on an inverted bearing system: a polished shaft seated in lubricated bushings and supported by a hardened steel sphere. A leather damping mat is included to further optimize mechanical decoupling.

Drive System
A 120 mm flywheel enhances rotational inertia, stabilizing speed and absorbing motor vibrations. The belt-driven DC motor is suspended in a flexible damping support, mounted to a marble block for further isolation. A Hall sensor and microprocessor, in conjunction with a rotation-speed encoder, ensure precise playback at 33.33 or 45 RPM.

Chassis & Structure
The TH300 features a single-material chassis, fully constructed from Nero Marquinia marble. This approach combines mass and rigidity in one form, reducing structural resonance and contributing to a focused, controlled sonic presentation.

Clamp System
The included screw-on clamp, machined from bronze and aluminium with internal damping, improves disc contact and minimizes static. An embedded magnetic disc further stabilizes playback and refines tonal accuracy.
