FCK Table Lamp

The Table Lamp Steel Grey FCK by Frédérick Gautier is built on pure geometric form. Aluminium, sober and slightly raw in surface, with an architectural quality that stays quiet in a room rather than asking for attention.

After more than twenty years as an artistic director in the cultural sector, the French designer turned to ceramics and concrete and studied at the École du Paysage in Versailles. His fascination with Brutalism led him to develop a clay that resembles concrete once fired, which became the basis of his FCK signature.

Gautier describes himself less as a designer than as an artist working in concrete. Simplicity and function guide the work, though each object carries its own story, technique and intention. He leaves room for the user to decide what a piece is for, whether that means marking out a space, serving tea, or resting your feet on it.
