The Layout Armchair 222, designed for HAY by Julien Renault, balances comfort, functionality, and long-term durability. Its open backrest adds support and visual lightness, while the plywood seat brings natural warmth. Rounded wooden legs provide stability and a classic look, and all components can be fully disassembled to support refurbishment and extend the chair’s lifespan.
The shell is made from at least 96% post-consumer recycled plastic and offered in a broad range of colours. The seat and wooden base come in matching wood types and finishes, creating a cohesive expression suited to a variety of interiors. Ideal for offices, hospitality spaces, institutions, or the home, the Layout Armchair 222 is a versatile and durable seating option.
