The Layout Armchair 242, designed by Julien Renault for HAY, is the office version of the Layout family. Its open backrest supports the back and keeps the look light, while the seat in lacquered oak veneer adds warmth. It sits on an aluminium five-star swivel base with castors and a gas lift, so the seat height can be set between 44 and 53 cm. Like every Layout chair, it can be fully taken apart, so parts can be replaced and refurbished and the chair lasts longer.
The shell is made from at least 96% post-consumer recycled plastic. Available in eight shell colours with the seat in natural or black lacquered oak; the base comes in polished or black powder-coated aluminium. For the home office, workspaces and meeting rooms.
