The Aluminium Shelf System by Andreas Christen was first made by Lehni for the 1964 Swiss National Exhibition and has been part of the collection since 1970. It is built from folded aluminium sheet: light, very stable for its weight and without visible screws on the front. Nickel-plated cross braces keep it rigid.
This bookshelf is a single unit 180 cm high and 88 cm wide with five shelves. Choose a depth of 25 cm for books or 33 cm for folders, and add a back panel or sliding doors in the bottom compartment if you like. The shelves move in a 2.5 cm grid and the feet are height-adjustable.
