Keglen Pendant Lamp

Keglen goes back to a pendant that Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas developed for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, a building by BIG that opened in 2017. Bjarke Ingels, Jakob Lange and the BIG Ideas team then turned it into a family of lamps that share the same details across several sizes, each with its own character.

Each conical shade of spun aluminium holds a curved opal insert shaped like a drop of water, which gives glare-free light downwards. The white inside reflects the light evenly, and a narrow, uniform opening at the top lets a little light escape towards the ceiling. The integrated LED can be dimmed via phase dimming (2700 K) or DALI.

The smaller sizes give intimate light on their own or in groups; the largest is meant for long tables, restaurants and meeting rooms. Available in Ø 17.5, 25, 40 and 65 cm, in matt white or black, with 2700 K or 3000 K.
