The Keglen Table Lamp belongs to the Keglen family, created in 2017 by BIG Ideas, the design team around Bjarke Ingels and Jakob Lange. The collaboration with Louis Poulsen began with a pendant for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, Denmark, a building by BIG, and grew into a family of lamps in several sizes.
The table lamp uses the same Ø 17.5 cm cone as the smallest Keglen pendant. Its stem flows into the curved diffuser and folds inward like a drop of water, keeping the downward light glare-free, while a narrow opening at the top lets a soft light escape upwards. Switched off, the matt black or white finish picks up reflections from the room.
It suits desks and work areas as well as living rooms and bedrooms. It comes with a base or a Ø 4 cm pin for mounting through the table top, and with an integrated LED in 3000 K or dim-to-warm 2700–2000 K, dimmable at the base.
