An oil lamp by Franz Maurer for Mono from 2004: a single flame burns above a shallow bowl of matt brushed stainless steel and is reflected in its concave surface. The lamp oil sits in a hidden cavity inside the bowl and feeds the flame for a long time.
Available in three sizes, Ø 13, 20 and 26 cm. Each comes with a filling bottle, a blunt needle and a funnel. Mono recommends clear, unscented lamp oil, such as its own organic lamp oil. Concave received a red dot award in 2005.
