In the early 1960s Peter Raacke added two wooden-handled versions to Mono A: Mono E with ebony and Mono T with teak. Fork and spoon keep the shapes of Mono A; the handles are faced on both sides with ebony, riveted to the steel, which sets warm wood against matt brushed stainless steel 18/10.
Ebony is a hard-wearing wood that lasts for decades with care, but Mono E is not suitable for the dishwasher; wash it by hand. Knife blades are hardened blade steel. Pieces range from table spoon to cake fork and combine well with Mono A serving pieces.
