Peter Raacke designed Mono Ring in 1962 around one idea: cutlery that needs no drawer. A ring at the end of each handle lets the pieces hang on a stand. Over a million pieces were sold, and in 1967 it entered the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Production stopped in the early 1990s; in 2018 Mark Braun of Berlin revised the design under Raacke's eye and Mono brought it back in five colours.
The heads are stainless steel 18/10 with a matt brushed finish; the handles are polyamide, food safe, heat resistant and dishwasher safe. The knife blade is hardened blade steel. Six pieces, from table spoon to tasting spoon, each in black, white, red, blue or grey.
