Mono SK59 is a series of kitchen knives designed by Gido Wahrmann and launched in 2020: angular and strong in appearance, light and ergonomic in use, with an open, faceted polyamide handle. The blades are Sandvik 12C27 steel, a Swedish knife steel hardened to 59 Rockwell. It holds an edge for a long time, stays flexible and resists corrosion.
The set holds the three knives of the series: chef's knife, ham knife and utility knife. It comes in steel or in black, where the blades carry a hard, low-friction coating of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC). Steel from Sweden, ground by hand in Solingen.

Care
| Steel | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Powder-coated surfaces tolerate a mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners. Raw steel can develop a patina and is best kept dry. |
|---|---|
| Plastic | Clean with a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which dull or scratch the surface. |
