Mono SK59 is a series of kitchen knives designed by Gido Wahrmann and launched in 2020: angular and strong in appearance, light and ergonomic in use, with an open, faceted polyamide handle. The blades are Sandvik 12C27 steel, a Swedish knife steel hardened to 59 Rockwell. It holds an edge for a long time, stays flexible and resists corrosion.
Since 2022 the knives are also available in black: the blade receives a coating of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC), which is very hard, scratch and wear resistant and has very low friction. Steel from Sweden, ground by hand in Solingen. Choose chef's knife, ham knife or utility knife, each in steel or black.

Care
| Steel | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Powder-coated surfaces tolerate a mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners. Raw steel can develop a patina and is best kept dry. |

| Plastic | Clean with a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which dull or scratch the surface. |
