The NJP Floor Lamp belongs to the NJP series by Oki Sato, founder of the design studio nendo, designed in 2015 for Louis Poulsen. The series reinterprets the classic anglepoise lamp and adapts it to working and living today.
A simple mechanism gives the arms and head a wide range of movement, so the light can be placed precisely. The LED sits high in the head to avoid glare, and the inside of the shade is painted white for a comfortable, diffused light. The chimney-shaped head lets some light out at the back onto the arm and lets heat escape.
At 125 cm, it serves as a reading lamp beside an armchair or as a task light in a home office. The switch on the head has two light levels and an optional timer that switches off after 4 or 8 hours. Available in black, white and light aluminium grey, in 2700 K or 3000 K.

Care
| Aluminium | Clean with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then dry. Avoid abrasive sponges and acidic or alkaline cleaners. Raw aluminium may darken slightly over time. |
|---|---|
| Steel | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Powder-coated surfaces tolerate a mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners. Raw steel can develop a patina and is best kept dry. |
