NJP Wall Lamp

The NJP series is Oki Sato's reinterpretation of the classic anglepoise lamp. The founder of the design studio nendo kept its familiar details but adapted the functions to current working life, at the office and at home. The wall version brings that adjustability to places where fixed wall lights fall short, for instance above a bed with an adjustable headrest.

The head sends glare-free light horizontally, softened by its white-painted interior. A chimney-shaped opening at the back lets some light out to brighten the top of the arm and lets heat escape. The LED sits high in the head, out of direct view.

Available with a short or long arm, in white, black or light aluminium grey, with 2700 K or 3000 K LED. The plug-in versions use an external driver; the wall box versions dim steplessly and can be hardwired or connected with a cord. A timer switches off after 4 or 8 hours.
