PH 2/1 Portable Lamp

Poul Henningsen aimed to create glare-free, directed light exactly where it is needed, while producing soft shadows, using conventional incandescent bulbs. His mathematical approach to lighting, based on the logarithmic spiral, led in 1925/26 to the development of the three-shade system and the product family built upon it. Over the years, hundreds of variations were created, including floor lamps, table lamps, pendant lights, chandeliers, and wall lamps.

The PH 2/1 Portable is a wireless version of the classic small table lamp, featuring mouth-blown opal glass shades and a stem and base in high-gloss chrome or metallised brass. This portable version is perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, especially in places without easy access to power, such as a bookshelf or bedside table.
