The PH 3/2 Aged Brass Opal Table Lamp is a version of one of the first lamps Poul Henningsen based on the System PH, the three-shade principle he developed in 1926. Louis Poulsen introduced the PH 3/2 a year later. The name describes its hybrid proportions: a top shade of roughly 30 cm combined with the smaller lower shades of the PH 2/2.

Here the top shade is aged brass, brushed with fine hairlines and painted white inside, so it reflects a glare-free light downwards. The middle and lower shades are mouth-blown three-layer opal glass, glossy outside and sandblasted inside, which softens the light and spreads it evenly around the lamp.

At 45.5 cm high, it creates a pool of light on a table, a chest of drawers or a windowsill. It takes one E14 bulb and has a black textile cord with an in-line switch.

    Care

Brass Untreated brass develops a natural patina. Dust with a dry cloth; to restore the shine use a brass polish. Lacquered brass only needs a soft, dry cloth.
Glass Clean with a soft cloth and glass cleaner or water with a drop of detergent. Mouth-blown and coloured glass is best washed by hand.
