The PH 5/5 builds on the three-shade system Poul Henningsen developed in 1926. It is one of his “whole” sizes: a top shade of about 50 cm with middle and lower shades in the proportions 3:2:1. Unlike the lighter “hybrid” sizes, made to hang low over a table, the whole sizes are especially glare-free and meant to hang high, which suits large rooms and high ceilings.
This version pairs a top shade of soft-touch black painted aluminium, white inside, with middle and lower shades of mouth-blown three-layer opal glass. The metal shade sends fine light mainly downwards, while the glass shades give a warm glow around the lamp. A frosted glass diffuser is included and can be inserted for even softer light.
Suited to spacious living and dining rooms as well as hotels, restaurants and lobbies. Available with E27 socket or integrated LED in 2700 K, 3000 K or dim to warm, controlled via phase dimming, DALI or Bluetooth.

Care
| Aluminium | Clean with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a mild detergent, then dry. Avoid abrasive sponges and acidic or alkaline cleaners. Raw aluminium may darken slightly over time. |
