PH 80 Floor Lamp

The PH 80 Floor Lamp is part of Poul Henningsen’s renowned three-shade system, originally developed in 1925/26 with Louis Poulsen. Henningsen dedicated his life to creating glare-free, soft, and precisely directed light, using incandescent bulbs and a scientific approach based on the lituus curve to achieve even light distribution and diffuse reflection.

The PH 80 was introduced in 1974 to honor Henningsen’s 80th birthday. The original model featured a red top reflector for warm, atmospheric illumination and opal acrylic shades for soft, diffused light. Later editions include elegant black-and-white and all-white versions, with matte black or white bases and stands, providing a modern, minimalist take on the classic design.
