The PH 80 was created in 1974, after Poul Henningsen's death, as a tribute on what would have been his 80th birthday. First made as a table and floor lamp, it follows the principle of his PH series: several shades that hide the bulb and shape the light so it is free of glare.
The opal white acrylic shades diffuse the light evenly, and most of it falls downwards in a symmetrical pattern. A top reflector sends light back into the shades; the colour of the light depends on the chosen bulb. Base, top and stem are made of aluminium.
At 40.5 cm high with a 32 cm shade, it suits a sideboard, desk or bedside table, at home or in an office. Two versions: opal white with a high-lustre chrome-plated finish and black cord, or opal white with white details and a white cord.
