Poul Henningsen designed his first lamps for a Paris exhibition back in 1925/26. His collaboration with Louis Poulsen lasted until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, Poul Henningsen was committed to creating lamps with glare-free light that cast soft shadows and direct the light cone to the right place. The PH Snowball model, which he designed in 1958, was on display at the Museum of Decorative Arts together with the PH5 model. It did not initially attract much attention and only became a success after its relaunch in 1983.
