The history of adidas is told here through its shoes, from the earliest models to the present day. It is a story of groundbreaking designs, memorable moments and the development of the all-round sports shoe, worn by figures as different as Lionel Messi, Run DMC and Madonna.
Almost 200 pairs are shown, among them unique originals, vintage models and pieces made with designers. The photographs and texts are by Christian Habermeier and Sebastian Jäger of studio waldeck photographers, who have been creating a visual record of the historical adidas archive since 2011. Published in the 45th Edition series, the hardcover has 512 pages in German, English and French.
