Toldbod Pendant Lamp

Louis Poulsen's own design team developed Toldbod from the light distribution of the PH Ellipse reflector, Poul Henningsen's last street light concept. The family began in 1982 with an outdoor lamp; glass pendants for indoor use followed, later the metal pendants, and in 2019 four larger sizes.

The elliptical shade of pressed aluminium is painted matt white inside and directs most of the light downwards, evenly and without glare, suited to focused light as well as general lighting. The form is deliberately plain, so the pendant works on its own or in rows and clusters, in one colour or mixed.

Four sizes from Ø 12 to Ø 40 cm, for dining tables, kitchen islands or work surfaces. Colours: white, black, light grey and blue-grey; the Ø 40 cm comes in white and black and has a matt acrylic diffuser.
