The VL Ring Crown 1 is the single-shade pendant of the VL Ring Crown family, based on a lamp the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed in the 1940s for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen. In 1947 Finn Juhl, then working for Lauritzen, used the Ring Crown in the interior of the porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl. Louis Poulsen reintroduced the family in 2019 in its original materials.
A single shade of mouth-blown, three-layered opal glass hangs from a satin-polished brass suspension. It sends light mainly downwards, while the glossy glass gives an even glow around it. The brass is left untreated and develops a patina over time.
At Ø 19 cm and 34.2 cm high, it works on its own above a small table, in a row over a kitchen island or in a hallway. The larger version with three, five or seven shades is available as VL Ring Crown 3-5-7 Pendant Lamp.

Care
| Glass | Clean with a soft cloth and glass cleaner or water with a drop of detergent. Mouth-blown and coloured glass is best washed by hand. |
