The VL Ring Crown 1 Wall Lamp goes back to a lamp the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed in the 1940s for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen, where the wall and pendant versions were installed. In 1947 Finn Juhl, then working for Lauritzen, used the Ring Crown in his interior for the porcelain maker Bing & Grøndahl. Louis Poulsen reintroduced the family in 2019 in its original materials.
A single shade of mouth-blown, three-layer opal glass directs the light mainly downwards and lights the area around it evenly. Arm and wall box are untreated, satin-polished brass that develops a patina over time.
It suits living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. It comes with a 2.5 m white cord and plug, or for hardwiring with or without a switch on the wall box, and takes one E27 bulb.

Care
| Brass | Untreated brass develops a natural patina. Dust with a dry cloth; to restore the shine use a brass polish. Lacquered brass only needs a soft, dry cloth. |
|---|---|
| Glass | Clean with a soft cloth and glass cleaner or water with a drop of detergent. Mouth-blown and coloured glass is best washed by hand. |
