The Z.Stuhl is a testament to the visionary power of early 1970s industrial design. In 1971, Ernst Moeckl created a form that has lost none of its impact to this day. The unmistakable Z-silhouette emerges from a single sweeping curve, crafted from rigid polyurethane foam, a material that opened up entirely new design possibilities at the time.
What makes the chair special to this day is the combination of clear geometric language and functional intelligence: multiple pieces can be stacked in a space-saving manner without compromising the overall appearance. Richard Lampert now produces the model anew, preserving a piece of design history within a contemporary living context.
