The Sèti is a small armchair made with as little material and processing as possible. Designer Huub Ubbens developed it with Arnaud Mainardi of Atelier Chatersèn in the Cévennes in southern France.
The frame is chestnut from selectively felled local forests, split rather than sawn and joined with the old technique of the region's "feuillardiers", who once made barrel hoops from chestnut. The bark stays on. The seat is a heavy fabric of Lacaune wool and hemp.
Low and compact, it is shaped to be comfortable for people of different sizes. Every piece is made by hand.
