The Eclipse is made from a single band of plastic rolled up on itself. Turning the band and the two steel arcs changes both the shape of the lamp and the direction of its light; small plastic stops on the arcs hold it in place. Mauricio Klabin wanted good design that everyone can afford: "With the Eclipse lamp I overcame the trauma of expensive design."
Since 2006 the Eclipse has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It is delivered flat in a box like a pizza and assembled in a few moves.
The table lamp is 36 cm high. Larger: Eclipse Floor Lamp, 52 cm.

Care
| Plastic | Clean with a soft cloth, water and a mild detergent. Avoid solvents and abrasive cleaners, which dull or scratch the surface. |
|---|---|
| Steel | Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately. Powder-coated surfaces tolerate a mild detergent; avoid abrasive cleaners. Raw steel can develop a patina and is best kept dry. |
