Massolo Coffee Table

MASSOLO, an extraordinary creation by Gufram, presents itself as a surreal and immersive experience between art and design. Creating the illusion of a heavy block of stone with unexpectedly light materials, this piece, designed by Piero Gilardi, embraces Gufram's “true-false” ethos. The creation process involving significant labor involves meticulous rough-hewing and layering of paint, achieving a unique and seductive texture and luster, amplified by Gufram's Guflac® coating. The paradox is further accentuated by the inscription “PORFIDO” on the surface, a playful allusion to the material that MASSOLO imitates.
