Pietre Coffee Table - Basalt Grey

Pietre is a coffee table that also works as a seat, designed in 2024 by Soft Baroque, the studio of Saša Štucin and Nicholas Gardner. The starting point was an old Bourbon arch on the coast of Naples, whose joints had been worn away by water and weather until the blocks looked like the round, full stones of a comic strip. Soft Baroque pushed that effect further and assembled a cluster of soft blocks, as if taken from the arch itself.

The table is made of soft polyurethane, finished and decorated by hand with Guflac®, and measures Ø 80 cm by 40 cm high at 15 kg. Basalt Grey is the standard colour: a mottled grey with pale veins that recalls volcanic rock. Because the finish is painted by hand, each table differs slightly in colour and pattern.

Pietre follows Piero Gilardi's stone pieces for Gufram, the Sassi and the Massolo table.
