Broken Mirror Almost White is the light edition of the mirror Snarkitecture designed for Gufram in 2017: the broken wall around the glass is finished in an off-white tone, closer to pale plaster than to raw concrete.
The idea is unchanged. Artist Daniel Arsham and architect Alex Mustonen frame the mirror with the ragged outline of a hole in a wall, so the reflection opens like a passage into the next room. The frame is soft polyurethane, finished by hand with Guflac® to give it the texture of masonry while keeping it elastic.
Gufram released Almost White in 2024 as a limited edition of 777 pieces. Each one is finished by hand, so the surface varies slightly from piece to piece. It sits alongside Almost Black and the original Broken Mirror, and pairs with the Broken Bench Almost White. The 1:8 Guframini Broken Mirror Almost White repeats it in miniature.
